I’ve always thought it would be pretty crazy to be a twin. My mum is an identical twin, and the amount of confusion it used to cause me as a baby was insane. I couldn’t tell if the woman I was looking at was my mum or my auntie, and as a kid, I can assure you that’s very distressing.

If I had a twin, I think we’d be one of those pairs that use our identity to our advantage, I’d use my twin to get my out of crappy relationships by doing the dumping for me, or get them to sit my driving test (not really, that would be dangerous). I would constantly use our identical image to confuse and bamboozle people, and cause general havoc.

Apparently we all have someone who looks pretty similar to us somewhere in the world. That’s right, somewhere far away there is a chance another person who looks almost the same as you. According to a 2015 study by researchers in Australia, there is a one in 135 chance that you have a complete doppelgänger somewhere in the world. It could be on the other side of the world, it could be in the same city as you. Wherever they are, we all have a chance of finding our complete carbon-copy even Ryan Gosling.

But don’t get too excited ladies, as unfortunately Ryan Gosling’s twin doesn’t exist in the present day. Well he does, kind of, but he doesn’t look like Ryan Gosling anymore. Ryan Gosling’s twin is in fact… a young Alec Baldwin!
