11 Apr Woman’s Selfie Video Captures The Disturbing Moment A Man Slips Something Into Her Drink

When you think of criminals, your mind can often be transported to a darkened back alley in the middle of the night where some shady deal is going down, or perhaps the inside of a smokey warehouse where well-dressed gangsters are about to conduct a shoot-out fitting for a Godfather sequel.

One thing you don’t usually expect is a criminal to conduct his unlawful business in broad daylight and in front of hundreds of witnesses.

That’s why this video is a disturbing reminder that criminals can strike at any moment and leave their unsuspecting victims in serious danger.

Originally posted onto Twitter by the user Jaeda Sky, the short video shows two women dancing at a festival, having a good time and with drinks in hand – like so many of us have done in the past. As one woman films them both in a selfie video, they are distracted just long enough for a man in the background to slip something into one of their drinks without either of them noticing.

Would you have noticed that? After a few beers, staring into the bright sunny sky and distracted by the chaotic fun that is unfolding around you, would you really have noticed that?

We are all aware that people spike drinks. It’s a disgusting way to subtly take advantage of somebody and can lead to very serious and life-threatening situations. But once again, we often think of these criminals lurking is shady clubs and bars – not a music festival in the middle of the day.

Jaeda accompanied the video with the tweet: “I’ll never understand how a dude can be so wack with no game and feel the need to be such a disgusting predator. Ladies watch your drinks! Watch her cup”.

The 15-second clip has already received over 175,000 ‘likes’, nearly 100,000 retweets and thousands of replies from people appalled by the video. One Twitter user replied saying: “Wow the drink can literally be in my own hand and I’ll still get roofied”.

Jaeda later reassured people that the person holding the cup realized what had happened to their drink and threw it away, and was thankfully completely fine following the troubling incident.

Unbelievably, some users have condemned the ladies in the video for taking their eyes off of their drinks.

This is not their fault and this video proves it. Just one lapse in concentration was all it took. The only people in the wrong here are the opportunistic and twisted criminals who prey on people just trying to have a good time.
