26 Apr Woman Runs Across Cross Busy Four-Lane Highway When She Spots An Injured Dog

When people get into trouble on our highways, emergency services are on the scene within minutes, but the same can’t be said for our four-legged friends. Despite being by our sides through thick and thin, when they get into trouble, a lot of people turn a blind eye.

Case in point, when this dog got seriously injured while crossing a highway, it was left to die by the side of the road. Passersby saw that the dog was in trouble, but no one thought that it was worth risking their life to save until a hero in a white shirt came along.

Even though countless vehicles were whizzing by at alarming speeds, this woman risked her own life to cross the four-lane highway to reach the dog. However, when she got to the other side, the animal began to walk away from her even though it was injured.

But the dog soon sensed that she was there to help and slowly inched its way towards her.

Once the dog was close enough, the woman quickly put a leash around its neck, and even though she risked being bitten, she scooped the animal up and began the perilous crossing back over the highway to safety.

As you can tell from the still below, the dog itself was a German shepherd and therefore quite large.

Thankfully, they both made it to safety, and it has been reported that the dog is now recovering from its injury.
