17 Aug Woman Reduced Man Who Groped Her To Tears And People Are Angry With Her
Most of us like to think we live in a progressive society where men and women are treated equally, but that’s sadly not the case. I was born in the early ’90s and grew up thinking that my gender would never cause me to be treated differently. But that all changed for me a few years ago…
One evening, whilst I was in a bar with my sister we were approached by a man who, without saying a word, sat down at our table uninvited and tried talking to both of us. He was under the insane illusion that he could single-handedly pick up two women. I gave my sister a ”we have to get out of here” look, and we left.
That incident, however, was just the first of many inappropriate advances men have made towards me. At a New Year’s party later that year, a man groped me and got angry when I objected to it. Now that I live alone, it’s not uncommon for me to get catcalled more than once whilst walking along the same stretch of road.
A lot men think that women should be flattered by their inappropriate advances, but I can assure you that we’re not. No one has ever gotten laid for catcalling a stranger.
Krystal Olsen, a thirty-two-year-old bartender, decided that she’d had enough of creepy men and took a stand for womankind when she was groped in July 2017.
