08 Dec Woman Disgusted After Discovering What Her Confused Husband Did With Her Menstrual Cup
Periods are an inevitable part of life for half of the world’s population. Every month, people with vaginas are paid a visit by their notorious Aunty Flow, or, more accurately, they have to endure Shark Week without biting their partner’s head off.
When vaginas force people to surf the crimson wave, PMS reeks havoc in their lives, causing them to cry at the sight of a cute cat on Instagram, spend their entire weekly food budget on Ben & Jerry’s, and cry whilst cradling a hot water bottle.
After all, they’ve just laid an egg and now their uterus is falling apart.
Despite being a common occurrence, periods are still a taboo subject. It wasn’t until recently that ads for menstrual products began using red liquid – before now, you’d have been forgiven for thinking vaginas bled blue ink.
Whilst some forms of contraception can make that time of the month easier, the majority people rely on tampons and sanitary towels to see them through Shark Week, and, naturally, a hot water bottle to pacify their angry uterus.
One of the most frustrating things about having a vagina is that menstrual products are expensive, and a lot of them can be required. This creates a lot of waste, which doesn’t do the environment any favors, and it can burn a hole in your pocket.
However, a solution has recently been popularised – the menstrual cup, or, as some people prefer to call it, the moon cup.
The menstrual cup is a small plastic cup that enables people with vaginas to save money on sanitary products because it’s reusable – it’s reportedly healthier too. But as it only recently came into popular use, a lot of people still don’t know what it is.
