Will Smith Is Being Accused Of Body Shaming After Making Comment About Willow’s Weight

Over the years, there have been many attempts made to tarnish Will Smith’s reputation. But no matter what the press have thrown at him, the Men In Black icon bounces back.

However, this time the 49-year-old star may find it a little more difficult to deploy damage control after he enraged women all around the world by giving his teenage daughter, Willow, some questionable advice.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the rapper-turned-actor has hit the headlines for his peculiar approach to parenting.

Back in 2010, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air star caused a stir when he allowed his nine-year-old daughter to pursue a pop singing career. Willow’s hugely successful hit, ‘I Whip My Hair’, saw her go on multiple tours around the world, something many thought was inappropriate for a child so young.

Then, in 2012, Willow shaved all of her hair off in a clear stand-off with her father who’d been encouraging her to tour, even though her heart wasn’t really in it.

In 2017, Smith addressed this error of judgment in a video clip for ‘Footnotes of Adnis’, a bonus track on rapper Jay-Z’s album, 4:44.

“She shaved her head bald in the middle of her ‘Whip My Hair’ tour. I was like, ‘Oh, s–t’,” the father-of-three explains. “I’m looking at that girl and I’m like, ‘Got it. I understand. You will not have this trouble out of me ever again. Let’s go, baby. We can go’.”
