20 Jul Whoopi Goldberg And Jeanine Pirro Have Explosive Argument On And Off Screen During ‘The View’

It doesn’t matter how agreeable a person you are, there will always be someone that you will disagree with. Whether it’s the way in which they behave, their politics, or their personal preferences, it’s impossible to live in perfect harmony with every person on this planet.

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to predict who we will and won’t disagree with. For some, it will be a family member, others a close friend, and of course, we all have that one work colleague that we routinely spar with.

One person who knows all too well how volatile people with an opinion can be is Whoopi Goldberg, who, as a host on ABC’s The View, has had plenty of experience with debating.

The acclaimed actress, who has been a moderator on The View since 2007, is known for her professionalism and serenity when on air. However, she is also well-known for her loyalty to specific causes.

Thus, when Fox News television personality, Jeannie Pirro, a staunch supporter of the Republican party and the author of Liars, Leakers & Liberals: The Case Against The Anti-Trump Conspiracy, appeared on The View earlier this week, chaos erupted.

Goldberg is, of course, fierce with her politics and has vocally denounced America’s present POTUS on several occasions. Thus, the combination of Goldberg and Pirro was doomed from the start. However, that didn’t stop producers from giving the interview a green light.

For Pirro, it wasn’t just Goldberg that she’d have to contend with. The former District Attorney for Westchester County, New York, also had to maintain her position against Ana Navarro, a CNN contributor who has made no secret of her disdain for the POTUS.

Unsurprisingly, the segment quickly turned savage as each woman battled to discredit the other. The discussion rapidly became an intense debate as Whoopi and the rest of the show’s panel ripped into Pirro.

“I’m 62-years-old and there have been a lot of people in office that I didn’t agree with,” says Whoopi, pointing her finger at Pirro. “But, I have never ever seen anything like this. I have never seen anybody whip up so much hate. I have never seen anybody be so dismissive.”

In response, Pirro accuses Goldberg of having “Derangement Syndrome” with regard to the President, something which only further ignites Goldberg’s rage.

“You know what’s horrible? When people who shouldn’t be here end up murdering the children of American citizens!” shouts Pirro, before Goldberg fires back: “What is horrible is when the president of the United States whips up people to beat the hell out of people … Say goodbye. I’m done!”

Whilst the argument simmered down on air, it is reported that after the cameras stopped rolling, Goldberg and Pirro went to war with one another.

“Jeanine tried telling [Goldberg] that she’s fought for victims her whole life,” claims a source. It is then that Goldberg lost her composure. “Whoopi got in her face and said that they’ve known each other a long time, but still, ‘F–k you, get the f–k out of this building’,” claims the source. “Jeanine looked stunned.”

According to another source:

“Jeanine could have walked by her. There was one more segment to do. She could have walked by her easily, she put her finger in her face and said, ‘I’ve done more for abused women than you will ever do’ and that’s when Whoopi said, ‘You and I have never had a problem,’ before everything else was said.”

Whilst neither party have commented on the behind the scenes row, Goldberg did take some time to apologize for her on air actions.

“You saw me do something I very rarely do,” she tells the audience apologetically. “I very rarely lose my cool and I’m not proud of it. I don’t like it. But I also don’t like being accused of being hysterical because that is one of the things I try not to be on this show.”

Well, I guess that’s what you call entertainment!
