Like many kids of the 90s, Hook is an integral part of my childhood. I watched that movie over and over on video, and any time it came on TV everything else would become a secondary priority. It goes without saying that my parents got pretty sick of it, but I was having the time of my life.

While the main hero of the tale was obviously Robin Williams’ older version of Peter Pan, the characters I always looked up to were the lost boys. This gang of independent kids were given a punk make-over for the 1991 film, something that made them far cooler to any fellow child watching at the time.

Living without responsibilities or adult supervision, these rebellious misfits had everything you wanted as a child. The fantasy of living a joyous childhood without worrying about growing up is something that you can relate to throughout your life. But outside of Neverland, we all age, and that includes the cast who played the lost boys.
