Making the decision to embark on a journalism career always comes with considerable risk of peril. Assuming you make it through university with your passion for reporting still firmly intact, there’s a likelihood you will be sent out into the field to investigate some alarming, and sometimes purely terrifying, cases.

Exposing war crimes, probing government misdemeanors and holding public services to account while operating in the public interest is no mean feat and certainly has little to offer the weak-hearted.

With this in mind, I think it’s safe to say that generally, the thought of vomit doesn’t cross our minds when the phrase “hard-hitting journalism” is mentioned. However, an incident on KTLA has proved that perhaps it should do in the future… or at least, the phrase “hard-hitting vomitus” should.
