14 Jul Vatican Police Raid ‘Drug-Fuelled Homosexual Orgy’ At Cardinal’s Apartment

It appears that Pope Francis hasn’t had the easiest of years in his papacy. A number of scandals have recently surfaced from the Vatican regarding some rather controversial activities. Certainly when Pope Francis came into power in 2013 he promised to not only create a church that was more inclusive of race, sexuality and gender but aimed to rid the Vatican of its damaged reputation in regards to illicit sexual activities and alleged child abuse. The latter came after his two predecessors’ papacies were smeared with paedophilia scandals which threatened to forever besmirch the Catholic Church’s global standing.

Francis was off to a good start when he promised to safeguard children, erect tribunals to judge priests and spoke of a “zero tolerance” policy for any offending member of his church. But regardless, he has found himself embroiled in a series of scandals involving people of influence in the Vatican.

Only last month Vatican police raided a Cardinal’s apartment and found that a drug-fuelled homosexual orgy was taking place.
