There’s been a lot of great movies released over the last 365 days… Hell, even Adam Sandler had a rare critically acclaimed release with The Meyerowitz Stories. However, it’s that time of the year again where we finally get to find out how much money our favorite actors took home.

Every year, American business magazine Forbes reveals their list of the highest earning actors of that respective year, and 2017 has revealed some shocking truths about the gender pay gap in Hollywood. Despite movies like Wonder Woman and Beauty and the Beast having female lead-roles and grossing huge numbers worldwide, there is still no doubt that women are falling WAY behind when it comes to paycheques.

In the last 12 months, a total of 16 actors earned over $20 million for their blockbuster roles, but, as you’re about to see from the list, only THREE of them were women.

Considering that we’re living in the 21st century, this shocking truth is testament to the fact that there’s still a lot work to be done in achieving total quality between genders. No one should take home a smaller paycheque because they have a different set of genitals between their legs.
