For parents everywhere, taking your child on their very first holiday can be a momentous occasion. Getting your little one through the airport and the subsequent flight can be a bit of a nightmare, but I think it’s worth it to see the wonder in your son or daughter’s eyes when they’re exposed to something entirely new and foreign for the first time. But one mother had a rather worrying experience while on holiday with her daughter.

Out in Majorca, Spain, Blaise Deacon from Biggin Hill in Kent was enjoying a vacation with her 23-month-old daughter Darcie when she came perilously close to every mother’s worst nightmare. On the fifth day of her vacation as she was about to return home, Blaise told the world via Facebook how her young child was very nearly snatched from her mother’s arms.
