Two Escaped Convicts Are on the Run after Murdering Their Correctional Officers

Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently hunting for two escaped convicts, one of whom brutally killed two Georgia State correctional officers before going on the run.

Baldwin State Prison Inmates Donnie Russell Rowe and Ricky Dubose, described as “dangerous beyond belief”, were two of 33 criminals traveling on a prison bus when they reportedly overpowered prison guards, Christopher Monica, 42, and Curtis Billue, 58, one of the two suspects afterward shooting them with their own weapon.

The incident happened at about 6.45am on Tuesday morning and has spurred a dramatic manhunt, involving local, state and federal officers, amid fear that the pair may kill again.

The deadly escape allegedly happened as the bus was heading to a diagnostic facility on State Route 16 between Eatonton and Sparta, Putnam County.

Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills emotionally described events during a press conference saying: “I saw two brutally murdered corrections officers, that’s what I saw. I have their blood on my shoes.”
