It has been, at times, a gruelling opening salvo in the White House for Donald Trump who, fresh from arguably the most stunning Presidential election victory in memory, abruptly set about ruffling feathers in a manner hitherto not witnessed in an American President.

Despite a plethora of polarising policies, divisive comments and political blunders – both from himself and his team – Trump has staggered on, a boat against the current, borne by his vague but pithy soundbite, to “Make America Great Again”.

Having captured the imaginations of a considerable section of the American public, who were disenchanted with the political elite, Trump has enjoyed the support of a fiercely loyal fan base, every bit as vocal and strident as his detractors.

Perhaps J.M. Barrie would have nodded sagely, had he seen a tweet posted by a user known as Mackenna, who uploaded a photograph of herself diligently scrubbing graffiti from Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Twitter users spotted an opportunity, and promptly went to town
