Tinder Steps In To Unite Strangers Who Have Kept Up A 3 Year Tinder Conversation But Never Met

Do your friends even social media if they haven’t had a gander at the popular dating app, Tinder? I don’t think so as Tinder has an estimated 50 million users worldwide and out of that whopping number, a fair few have tied the knot because of it. I mean, I’m sure you’ve heard a story or two about Tinder leading to a long, fulfilling relationship, alongside the horror stories of people being Catfished or seriously freaked out by a potential love-interest.

While I can’t say I’ve ever actually met up with someone who I have matched with on Tinder, I must admit that all my experiences on it have been rather entertaining. You can’t not be amused when you’re provided with the most cringe-inducing chat up lines by men (and women) who truly believe that their one-liners are going to make you swoon. And I know that not everyone is like that on Tinder – certainly, two strangers disregarded every stereotype.

Josh Avsec, 22, matched with 21-year-old Michelle Arendas on Tinder in 2014 and since then they have been involved in a rather unconventional relationship – wherein they only talked to each other every couple of months… for a whopping three years.

Eventually the situation got so bad that Tinder decided to intervene. So let’s take a look at how it all began.
