This Widower Is About To Complete His Wife’s Bucket List Four Years After She Died

A widower is set to tick off the final item on his wife’s bucket list, four years after she sadly passed away.

Steve Boryszczuk, 51, lost his wife Michelle at the age of just 43 to early onset Alzheimer’s disease, and he has since gone about fulfilling his late wife’s dreams in her name.

Steve has spent the last few years travelling the world and ticking off the items on Michelle’s bucket list. His mission has seen him visit countries such as China, Peru and the tallest volcano in Costa Rica, as well as a host of other countries and continents where he leaves a lock of Michelle’s hair, so that part of her is in those places forever.

Michelle was one of the unfortunate people who were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in their 30’s, and Steve is aiming to raise awareness for the disease in young people, while simultaneously completing his late wife’s bucket list.

Steve says that Michelle loved treks, but lost the ability to walk at 39, a year after her diagnosis. Since she passed away, he has walked across the 16 bridges in London, The Yorkshire Thee Peaks, The Great Wall of China and the Isle of Wight’s coastal path, just to name a few. However, on Friday October 20, Steve and his friend Tony Butler will take on their biggest challenge yet: trekking the Himalayas.
