If you are a dog owner, you have probably experienced the feeling of coming home after a long day of yelling bosses and annoying colleagues just to look your pup in the eyes and think to yourself, “I’m pretty sure I like my dog more than any of the humans I know”. It’s just a fact of life: dogs are better people than any of us (I know they’re not people, but you get the sentiment). How much of this has to do with the fact that they can’t speak and therefore are incapable of actually ever criticizing you? I’d say 80-90%, but that’s besides the point.

If you are in need of yet another reason to believe that dogs are better than humans, then meet Lana, an 8-month old Brazilian puppy who will steal your heart. After living a hard life on the streets of Brazil, Lana was rescued alongside her siblings and put up for adoption. Not long after that, she was adopted by Suelen Schaumloeffel and her fiancé, the two lucky people who get to wake up to this face every morning:

The weather in their region of Brazil has gotten a bit chilly recently, so Suelen decided to get Lana a nice thick blanket to ensure that she’d sleep warmly at night while out in the doghouse they keep in the front yard. One day, she noticed that Lana had strangely been dragging the new blanket around on the ground, so she inspected the situation to see why Lana would even be taking the blanket outside of the doghouse in the first place. She probably did not expect the reason to be so insanely sweet.
