This Pot Enables Your Dead Relative To Come Back To Life As A Tree

“What happens to us after we die?” It’s the perennial question that we human beings have asked since the very moment we gained sapience, since the very instant we became something more than just an upright ape. From cradle to grave, we’re all hounded by the thought of what will happen to us after we finally kick the bucket and expire.

For Muslims, Christians and Jews, the answer is that our immortal souls will be freed from the fetters of the material, and either ascend to heaven or fall towards hell. For Buddhists the answer is more complex; they believe that if we live ethically, we’re rewarded with nirvana. If not, we’re reborn in a new body to try to accomplish what we failed the first time, and are reincarnated as another person or animal. Last of all, Atheists believe that we’re confronted with a total cessation of existence, and that death is neither profound nor spiritual; merely a physical process which turns our stiff bodies into mulch and worm-food.

Personally, I don’t believe in heaven or hell, or in any afterlife per say. But what if Atheists and Buddhists were right, (to an extent), and there really was a surefire way of reincarnating after death? Well apparently science has found the answer.

A new product claims to be capable of converting our earthly remains into food for a tiny seed, ensuring that our departed loved ones will live on in the form of a gigantic tree. It could be a way of regenerating our severely depleted forests, and replace our cemeteries with gorgeous woodland; but is it a viable? Or are we tampering with something sacred?
