At this point in the summer, we are all aware of the growing glitter trend that is wreaking havoc on festivals and outdoor parties everywhere. It all started with a little bit of face glitter, replacing the typical makeup product of highlighter at the tops of the cheeks, adding a few gemstones here and there to the forehead. Just a touch of something sparkly to get you in the party mood.

The glitter trend then expanded to, naturally, the boobs! With sparkle and gems coming to replace good old fashioned shirts (so boring, right?), the trend took “free the nipple” to new glitzy heights. Besides the fact that this new style looked really cool, it was also functional. The sweltering heat of summer days (especially at Coachella in Southern California) can make the idea of not wearing a shirt extremely appealing.

But, as with nearly every millennial trend that surfaces, it ended up being taken to ludicrous extremes. The glitter boobs quickly turned into the glitter body, and we really cannot decide if this trend is awesome or just too extra to deal with. Most of all, we have one question: just how insanely itchy are these glue-on glitzy bodysuits?
