29 Nov The Official Trailer For ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Is Here And It Looks Epic
Can you hear something? Listen a little more carefully. Hear it now? That is the collective sound of Marvel fans’ hearts racing after watching the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, which was released only a few hours ago.
The highly-anticipated two-and-a-half minute trailer for the 19th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come closer to breaking the internet than Kim Kardashian ever could, as fans flocked to YouTube to catch a glimpse of their favorite superheroes in action.
Hardcore fans have been practically salivating with anticipation since 2012, when Marvel first teased the introduction of the supervillain, Thanos, in a post-credits scene in Avengers. Since then the Titanian super-being has briefly appeared in many Marvel movies, including Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron, stirring fans into a frenzy, but now it’s Thanos’ time to shine in Avengers: Infinity War.
In July, Marvel put a select few fans out of their misery when they aired the very first teaser clip for the movie, which is already being hailed as the biggest blockbuster of 2018, at San Diego Comic-Con and D23 Expo. But, for the rest of the fandom, it’s been an agonizing wait.
The movie is set to be such a superhero extravaganza that Marvel made the executive decision to split it into two – with the second, still untitled, installment set for release in 2019.
However, despite the two movies being shot back-to-back in 2016, the second part is distinctly different from the first. This is something that Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios was keen to make clear.
“I wouldn’t call it one story that’s cut in half,” he said. “I would say it’s going to be two distinct movies.”
The trailer release is even tickling the taste buds of those unacquainted with the Marvel Universe, who recognize famous superheroes such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and The Hulk in the action-packed trailer, which features every Marvel hero you’ve seen so far, starting with 2008’s Iron Man and finishing with the yet-to-be-released Black Panther.
