Back in 2004, Pixar released the animated movie The Incredibles, and well, it was incredible! Chances are it left you wanting more, but sadly a sequel never came. That is, until now!

Yes, that’s right, 14 years after the release of the original, Pixar has finally made a second Incredibles movie, and it’s set to hit screens across the globe in 2018.

This isn’t the first time Pixar has made a sequel to a fan favorite many years after the original movie was released.

The very first Toy Story movie came out way back in 1995. It was the animation studio’s first feature-length movie. It was also the first feature-length animated movie ever!

Previously, Pixar had been producing short movies to promote their computers, but Disney approached the company after taking notice of one of their short movies called Tin Toy.

The movie was told from the perspective of a toy and marked the very beginnings of what would become the mega-hit Toy Story.

Woody and Buzz Lightyear have firmly found their place in the hearts of millions, and so Pixar produced two sequels to the movie in 2000 and in 2010. That’s a lot of time between movies!
