A week rarely goes by without the ‘Human Ken Doll’ Rodrigo Alves hitting the headlines. The plastic fantastic surgery fanatic has fascinated people around the world with his quest to look like the popular children’s toy and, more recently, Ken’s female companion Barbie.

In a gross insult to the transgender community, Alves said he was going to transition into a woman later in life so that he becomes a “sexy old lady like Caitlyn Jenner” rather than a “saggy old man”. The fact that his “bits are falling off” has also prompted this decision.

Alves has currently gone under the knife more than 60 times and has had countless non-surgical procedures too. It has been estimated that he has spent around $400,000 on his appearance, and his plastic surgery addiction shows no signs of letting up.

The Human Ken Doll began altering his appearance when he was 19 years old with a nose job. Since then, he has had multiple nose jobs, chest and ab implants, a hair transplant and fillers and Botox injections. His most recent surgery was a hair transplant.

According to 34-year-old Alves, who already had an impressive hairline for a man his age, the hair transplant was the first step in his journey towards becoming Barbie. He is pictured below after the $19,000 surgery which he hoped would make him look more feminine.

In an interview with The Sun, Alves said that he wanted people to admire his “courage and bravery” for having so many procedures.

Alves’ appearance changes so often and so radically that traveling is a challenge for the 34-year-old. It is only in his hometown of London that airport staff have become so accustomed to his appearance that they don’t interrogate him for not looking anything like this passport picture.

Now, further pictures have emerged of what the Human Ken Doll looked like prior to having any plastic surgery.
