The First Five Mr Olympias Then Vs What They Look Like Now

The Mr. Olympia title is well known in the world of competitive bodybuilding. The competition is held annually by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, and has helped launch the careers of famous faces like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno.

The title has been given out since 1965. Check out what the first five winners looks like today:

Larry Scott

Larry Dee Scott won the inaugural Mr. Olympia competition and defended his title the following year before retiring at just 28 years old. He staged a brief comeback in 1979 before retiring once again in 1980.

He was nicknamed “The Golden Boy” and “The Legend”, and became best known for his unusually long biceps. He even has a bicep curl exercise named after him called “the Scott curl”.

While Scott passed away in 2014 due to complications of Alzheimer’s, he maintained his impressive biceps well into his seventies.

Sergio Oliva

Sergio Oliva, AKA “The Myth”, was a Cuban bodybuilder who won the competition in 1967, 1968, and 1969. He controversially lost a fourth title to Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1972.
