The Final Star Wars Episode VIII Trailer Is Here And Fans Are In Meltdown

Speaking as a huge Star Wars fan, for the past two years, December has ceased to represent the Christmas holiday and simply become all about the release of the latest Star Wars movie.

People can say what they want, but I absolutely loved Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Rogue One, and now the countdown is officially on until the release of the latest instalment from Disney and Lucasfilm, Star Wars Episode VII: The Last Jedi.

In modern culture, the countdown to theatrical trailer releases can be as exciting as the actual movie release, which is why Star Wars fans everywhere rejoiced today, as the final official trailer was premiered on ESPN during the halftime commercials of the of the Monday night football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears.

This twominute thrill ride through the galaxy offers an all-new glimpse at Episode VIII, and follows on from the final scene of The Force Awakens where we left Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) coming face-to-face for the first time on a mountaintop.

The full trailer (below) features a plethora of footage and teases that Star Wars fans have been screaming about since its release.

From the return of the galaxy’s favorite princess, General Leia, to the intense scene that appears to show the burning down of Luke’s Jedi temple, fans have taken to social media to express their undying joy and delight at the trailer, as the anticipation for the next movie continues to build.
