29 Jan Teenager Who Looks Exactly Like Jennifer Lawrence Keeps Getting Stopped For Photos

There are seven billion people on the planet, so it is not unlikely that you’ll stumble across someone who happens to look remarkably similar to you.

Some people end up meeting their uncanny lookalikes in real life under the most extraordinary circumstances. And sometimes people find their doppelgangers by pure chance and coincidence. Who could forget the viral ‘twin strangers’ who sat next to each other on a plane only to discover that they looked exactly the same?

But what if you happened to be a carbon copy of one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood?

Alexia Maier is a 17-year-old model who bears an uncanny resemblance to The Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence. In fact, she looks so much like the Oscar-winning actress that she is constantly being approached by fans who are looking to take a selfie with her or get an autograph.

Alexia, who is from Ponte Vedra in Florida, initially didn’t take the comparison between herself and the critically acclaimed star very seriously and just assumed it was little more than an ongoing joke.

“At first I thought it was a joke when people started saying I looked like Jennifer Lawrence,” Alexia revealed. “But when I started getting dozens of comments about my J-Law similarities, I started to realize it myself.”

However, being able to recognize the resemblance she shared with Jennifer Lawrence did nothing to prepare her for the overwhelming amount of attention she received whenever she left the confines of Ponte Vedra.

“In my hometown, people know they’re not going to see a real celebrity, so I’ve been told I look like her, but never confused. But when visiting New York, people will ask me for autographs. I think one of my favorite examples is when a woman said ‘Jennifer, I’m your biggest fan!’ I told her, ‘I’m not Jennifer!’ but the woman immediately said, ‘are you sure?’ I’ll never forget her reaction. At first, it was surprise, then awe, then disappointment.”

I would imagine it must be a pretty big ego boost to be compared to a beautiful, talented and successful actress such as Jennifer Lawrence. I mean, usually, when people are told who their celebrity lookalike is, it is either infuriatingly unflattering or way too good to be true – there is no in between.

Anyway, as it turns out, Alexia wasn’t as flattered as she could have been considering she’s not exactly a fan of the 27-year-old actress. “I know this is not the answer people are expecting from me, but I am not a fan,” Alexia revealed. “Even so, I can acknowledge that Jennifer has definitely impacted my life in strange ways.”

According to the 17-year-old model, the comparisons started flooding in when she was pretty young.

“I got a lot of attention in the first couple years of high school because of my similarities to her. I was also subjected to a lot of online attention when I was pretty young, good and bad, but both have managed to help shape me as a person.”

Okay so most of us are probably never going to be the spitting image of a stunning Hollywood starlet, but I’m telling you, out there in the big wide world, is definitely at least one person who could basically be your twin.
