Swedish Journalist Feared Dead After Going For A Ride In Homemade Submarine

An inventor of a homemade submarine has been charged with manslaughter, after a journalist went missing while during an expedition inside. Kim Wall, 30, disappeared after going in Peter Madsen’s submarine, which sank near the city of Copenhagen, Denmark, on Friday morning.

Madsen was rescued by the navy after the accident, but Danish police are yet to find any trace of the Swedish journalist, despite having searched the wreck of the submarine extensively on both Saturday and Sunday.

In a twist of events, the police are now claiming that it appears the vessel had been sunk deliberately and they are now treating the wreckage as a possible crime scene. Madsen, 46, was the only other person in the submarine at the time, and he has now been ordered to remain in custody for 24 days, where he has been accused of manslaughter.
