07 Feb Stunning Beauty Pageant Finalist Shocks Judges By Revealing That He’s A Man

When it comes to female beauty standards, there are a clear set of ideals in the modern world. Thanks to makeup, most people can easily achieve them, but it’s had the downside of causing many women to look identical to each other.

In order to prove this very point, a man dressed up as a woman and reached the final of a prestigious beauty contest in Kazakhstan.

While many beautiful women chose not to conform to society’s narrow ideals, popular culture reveres them. A good example of this is the Kardashian-Jenner clan, who have done everything in their power to look like carbon copies of each other.

You might think that a lot of people dislike the Kardashians being “famous for nothing”, but the success of Kylie Cosmetics and the brands they endorse is a testament to the fact that people want to be like them – even if they can’t afford lip injections (although, the ‘Kylie Jenner Challenge’ certainly tried to solve this).

The competition which 22-year-old Ilay Dyagilev managed to successfully enter as a woman named “Alina Alieva” was fierce. In order to reach the final of Miss Virtual Kazakhstan, hopefuls had to prove that they were more beautiful than another 4,000 applicants.

“My friends and I, we had a debate on beauty, and I decided to take part in the pageant. I’ve always been a champion of natural beauty.”

“You can see that many young women look identical, the same makeup, the same style – and they believe that they are beautiful if they follow trends. I don’t think so,” Dyagilev said, explaining his reasoning for entering the competition in the first place.
