Studies Show That Second Children Are Far More Likely To Be Trouble-Makers

We’ve all heard the stereotypes that say your personality is dictated by the order in which you and your siblings were born. The youngest act out for attention, first children are spoiled, and middle kids get ignored. Anyone with younger or older siblings will have heard statements like these at some point in their lives.

While I think they are often used to explain away the behaviour of siblings when there is no particular reason known as to why they are acting out, there are many of us who believe this does affect family relationships and individual personalities, even if we only have our own biased experiences to back up our claims.

There has been some scientific research that has gone into this phenomenon, to see whether it is worth being the topic of discussion it often finds itself as. But now new data has emerged, as a study into the differences between first and second-born children has made the results overwhelmingly clear.
