09 Jan Six-Month Pregnant Teen Accused Of Lying Because She Has No Baby Bump

The online world is a perilous place in which not everything is to be believed. From your friend’s vacation pictures on Instagram which shows signs of some heavy editing, to the tale tales you read on people’s Facebook pages, the majority of what we see online is embellished.

So when 18-year-old Reanna Stephens from South Carolina announced that she was pregnant, people were skeptical. Why? Because despite being six months pregnant, the teen doesn’t even have a shadow of a baby bump.

Stephens, a student, claims that she has been the victim of abuse from strangers in the street who have called her a fraud whilst suggesting she is anorexic due to her thin frame.

These strangers have also enquired about the health of her unborn child, speculating that it will be unhealthy upon birth.

“People really affect me with their comments, I try to stay calm as I know both me and my baby are healthy,” the student explains. “I have had people stopping me in the street and giving me nasty looks. It’s heartbreaking that instead of getting, ‘Aw, look at your bump!’ I get people being rude to me as soon as they realize how far gone I am.”

It’s become such a topic of conversation, that some people believe Stephens is faking the whole pregnancy for attention:
