09 Jan Sex Robots Could Be Hacked To Murder Users, Expert Warns

There has been quite a lot of buzz around artificial intelligence lately and it’s looking more and more likely that robots in some form or another will definitely play a bigger role in day-to-day life in the future.

However, the artificial intelligence revolution has not come without warnings. Tesla founder, Elon Musk, has already spoken out about the likelihood that AI will become a threat to humans. He claims that AI development will be controlled by only a handful of powerful companies.

This would give those companies a lot of power, and Musk has even personally invested in the AI Company DeepMind, to keep an eye on things.

He is worried that developing AI too quickly and without taking proper precautions could lead to inventing something potentially very unsafe – even fatal!

Musk is not alone in this thinking. Dr. Nick Patterson, a cybersecurity lecturer at Deakin University in Australia, is also very concerned about a particular type of artificially intelligent being. He’s specifically worried about the prevalence of AI sex robots.
