As the star of the hilarious Deadpool and Van Wilder movies, Ryan Reynolds is one of the coolest celebrities around in Hollywood today. He’s married to the awesome Blake Lively, and through Reynolds’ interviews, his appearances in commercials or even his social media pages, he comes across as the kind of guy you’d like to hang out with, even if he wasn’t a celebrity.

He’s perhaps one of the funniest actors around at the moment, but one aspect of Ryan Reynolds’ personality we don’t really see too often is his softer, humanitarian side. Daniel Downing from Plymouth is five years old, and he has tragically been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. As a massive fan of the Marvel movies, his family have been campaigning for Ryan Reynolds to give him a call. At the moment, Reynolds is in the middle of filming Deadpool 2, but that didn’t stop him from giving young Daniel a FaceTime call he’ll never forget.
