There no doubt that world leaders like Donald Trump, Angela Merkel and Justin Trudeau will be pacing up and down their offices and rearranging their notes in an attempt to brace themselves for the G20 summit in Hamburg next week. The central forum takes place 7-8 July and sees leaders meet to discuss key issues facing our global economy.

But aside from our elected representatives, there’s someone else who’s got our backs when it comes to important topics in our society… and that’s no other than Barbadian superstar Rihanna.

While many of us envision many celebrities too busy preparing their dance moves for Ellen, or landing upon the perfect filter to showcase their idyllic snaps on Instagram, to deign thinking about international issues, the Rude Boy singer should step up and Take A Bow as she is a famous person who is utilising her position as a pop superstar to influence global politics.

The 29-year-old singer proved that just because you’ve got a couple platinum records behind you, doesn’t mean you can’t get involved with global policy, when she reached out to several world leaders on social media in order to make sure they didn’t forget about education.
