England has faced a tragic few months, with the deadly bombing at Manchester arena which left 22 people dead, 119 injured and the attack at London Bridge and popular dining-spot, Borough Market. Although not terrorism related, the Grenfell Tower saw an appalling loss of life, with at least 80 people reported to be dead and many still unaccounted for. The UK is understandably hoping for a period of calm in which we can mourn our dead and regroup as a nation.

However, naturally still reeling from recent events, we, the people of England, are not only in the midst of processing the senseless loss of life, but are dealing with a feeling of unease and anxiety as to what the future holds – as our public safety has never been under greater threat in recent years.

This is not helped by reports that surface too regularly, detailing foiled attacks or potentially dangerous situations. And today, breaking news has stated that a man who was wielding a machete has been reprimanded outside Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
