15 Jun Popular Youtube Star Has Been Arrested on Child Pornography Charges 

While the concept of a celebrity is far from a new one in human society, over the past few years, we’ve seen the rise of the internet celebrity. Now, the only thing a star-in-the-making needs for worldwide recognition is an internet connection. We’ve seen internet users rise to fame off Instagram or Twitter, but as with more traditional celebrities, there’s always a chance that these famous people will abuse their newfound fame for some less than reputable activities.

On YouTube, Austin Jones has accrued millions of views as well as over 500,000 subscribers on his channel. Posting his first video four years ago, the 24-year-old from Chicago has gained an immense following by covering famous songs from artists such as Rihanna, Panic! At the Disco and My Chemical Romance. However, earlier this week, the singer was arrested, and brought in front of court on charges of child pornography.
