10 Jul People Can’t Decide What Colours They See In This Picture And The Internet Is Freaking Out (Again)

Just when you thought we’d all had our fill of bizarre double-vision colour phenomena, another appears on the horizon. Two years ago a garment known simply as  “The Dress” whipped up internet into a veritable frenzy with its chicken and egg style debate; what colours do you see?

As infuriating as it was compelling, the debate raged on, perhaps largely due to the fact that there could be no winner by definition. Some people saw blue and black, some white and gold, and no one was willing to compromise. It seems that the explanation behind this visual illusion has to do with the way our eyes evolve over time … but for some reason mere “science” wasn’t going to stop people furiously debating the issue of what colour the dress was.

Since then, Presidents have come and gone, global politics has shifted, and the Patriots have won (yet) another Superbowl, but apparently our interest in the “what colours do you see” debate has not waned in the slightest, after a brand-new, mind-bending photograph surfaced online. People are, let’s say, rather passionate about it.
