When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split in 2016, celebrity fans around the world began to pray for the longevity of their favorite ‘power couples’. One of the couples who featured most heavily in people’s prayers were Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.

The duo, who first began dating in 2007 having met whilst playing love interests in the film Take Me Home Tonight, have long been considered a totem of normality in Hollywood. Rather than try to steal the Tinseltown limelight, Faris and Pratt were a conventional couple who you could easily imagine bumping into at the local mall and aimlessly chat to for hours.

Canoodling at red carpet events, uploading soppy Instagram posts and gushing about each other on talk shows, there was no end to the times they were literal #CoupleGoals. 

However, as Pratt’s notoriety began to escalate after being cast in blockbuster franchises such as Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, cracks began to show. In fact, it was during a press tour for his 2016 film Passengers which saw the first hint of divorce on the horizon.

The warm glow that Pratt and Faris were famous for emanating was absent as they posed for the paparazzi during the Passengers premiere. People online began to speculate that the cold vibe between the pair was caused by Pratt’s Passengers co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, who users later blamed for their divorce.
