It’s the stuff of dreams: to uncover a rare, ancient, or invaluable object. Indeed, many people dedicate their lives to that same pursuit, the treasure hunt of a lifetime, metal detector and brush in hand, meditating on that one heady day when they make an astonishing discovery.

These treasure hunters and amateur archeologists often have to wait patiently for years before they make their dream finding, and many more will never make the breakthrough of their heart’s desire.

Certainly, most don’t make the discovery of a lifetime before they are even in double digits of age. That, however, is exactly what Jude Sparks did, when he was on a normally family walk with his parents.

When Sparks tripped and fell over, he found himself staring at bizarre object that had the appearance of a vast jaw.
