13 Oct Netflix Have Released The Final Trailer For Season Two Of ‘Stranger Things’ And We Can’t Wait
When the first series of Stranger Things premiered on Netflix in July 2016, people were amazed by the streaming service’s ability continually to produce incredible original content year after year.
Stranger Things quickly garnered a lot of attention and became one of the most popular series to ever debut on Netflix – all thanks to its incredible storyline and cast. It even revitalized Winona Ryder’s career.
The sci-fi drama, set in the 80s, follows a group of adolescent friends as they battle supernatural forces in the wake of their friend Will Byers’ disappearance. He went missing after being followed home by an unseen monster.
After Will’s disappearance, the friends are joined by a girl of few words called Eleven. She helps them to get Will back with telekinetic powers she developed after being wrongfully experimented on by the government.
Throughout the series, Will is is trapped in an alternate dimension called the Upside Down. His entrapment is caused by a terrifying monster from that’s escaped into the fictional town of Hawkins – the Demogorgon.
Now, Stranger Things is returning for a second series on October 27, and a full final trailer has just been released after a teaser was debuted yesterday. Today is Friday the 13th, so no other day could be more appropriate.
The first Stranger Things trailer was a recreation of the original Friday the 13th trailer from 1980. This was an apt move on the part of the show’s creators, as the show already nods to a number of 80s classics like The Goonies.
The original Friday the 13th trailer from 1980 showed 13 eerie snippets (creepily counting up from one to 13) of what viewers could expect from the movie, and so did the Stranger Things trailer.
It sparked our curiosity about the upcoming season of Stranger Things – causing us to wonder who Joyce Byers is burying, what kind of fate the sheriff met, and what horror made Mike cup his hands around his head in fear…
