09 Jan Mom Shares Creepy Baby Scan On Facebook And Twitter Is Freaking Out

One of the most exciting days in an expectant mom’s life is when she gets to see her unborn child for the first time. It’s a chance to find out the gender of her baby (if she wants to) and begin to imagine what they’ll look like once they’re born.

Mom-to-be Sharni Turner, from Australia, however, got an unexpected fright when she got to see her baby for the first time. What she saw was so shocking that her baby was described by Twitter users as having the face of “pure evil”.

In an interview with UNILAD, Turner revealed how her routine appointment took a terrifying turn.

“I was watching the screen with my auntie who joined me for my ultrasound appointment, and the baby was sleeping and just not doing much like we needed it to do the measurements properly.”

To help the scan go as planned, Turner did what was necessary to wake her baby up. We all know how agitated we feel when we are suddenly woken up from a deep sleep and that’s exactly what happened to her baby boy.

“We tried heaps of things to wake him up, and all of a sudden we got that face, and I was just like ‘that’s terrifying’ it was pretty hilarious!

But I don’t think he enjoyed being woken up. (sic)“

If you think that you look grouchy after you’ve suddenly woken up, you’ll be thinking again once you’ve seen Turner’s scan.

The ultrasound of Turner’s son caused a storm on social media after she posted it to Twitter. To date, it’s been retweeted over 11,000 times and liked over 30,000. It’s a shame that Turner isn’t further along, as Halloween would be the perfect birthday for her baby.

“My ultrasound technician decided to do a front face image of my baby, and it was the most terrifying thing over ever seen in my f*ckiNG LIFE,” she wrote on Twitter.

As soon as the ultrasound went viral, Twitter users began to share their hilarious interpretations of Turner’s scan:

However, some took it too far and joked that the mom-to-be abort her child:

Naturally, Turner was shocked that people would suggest this, especially as her bizarre-looking scan is actually perfectly normal.

“I feel like I gotta clarify that I don’t in anyway plan on having an abortion and that this is what a human skull looks like scanned bc LMAO.”

Turner took her unborn baby’s Twitter fame in her stride and even joined in on the joke herself:

“It’s definitely been a good laugh reading the responses! I think I sat for hours in tears just laughing at the creativity of some of the comments!

Some were pretty mean too, surprisingly, but I’m sure they were joking.

I found it a little shocking that I had to even clarify that I didn’t plan on getting an abortion, but I’m definitely proud to be a mummy to a devil child!”

We wish Turner all the best with her pregnancy. Her little devil has certainly got a supportive mom!

But Turner isn’t the first mom-to-be who’s seen something unexpected in her ultrasound scan. This mom was 22 weeks along when her baby decided to make the ‘rock on’ gesture in the womb.
