Mind-Boggling Photos Will Make You Question Everything You Thought You Knew About Your Body

Disclaimer: This article does contain images of nudity

We spend a lot of time looking at the human body in one form or another. Whether it’s scrolling through Instagram for #fitspo, or simply admiring the physique of a person we find attractive. However, there are very set limits to how we see regularly the human body.

Contorted positions, for example, rarely make their way onto our social media feeds or advertisements. But that’s something London-based photographer Chloe Rosser could change with her extraordinary takes on the classical “nude”, which have to be seen to be believed.

For her series Form and Function, she has photographed naked bodies in a way that I can guarantee you have never seen them before. They are contorted into bizarre geological forms that appear almost inhuman, and, amazingly, have been created without the use of photoshop software.

Often snapped in what can only be likened to fetal positions, they are a far cry from the ideal bodies which we are usually bombarded with.

What makes these images so extraordinary is that they have been taken of positions that appear almost impossible to get into, forcing viewers to focus entirely on the imperfect flesh that has been presented to them by removing identifiable features like arms and legs.
