The release of Black Panther has changed the game in the world of cinema. Grossing more than $200 million in its opening weekend Black Panther, the 18th film in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, became the fifth-highest grossing film of all time – only $46 million behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which grossed $248 million in its opening weekend.
As a result of this success, the film’s cast have become some of the most talked about and recognized people in Hollywood. One particular cast member that has solidified themselves as a star is Michael B. Jordan.
Of course, Michael B. Jordan is not to be confused with basketball legend, Michael Jordan. The two may share the same name, but their chosen career paths couldn’t be any more contrasting – although, the young actor is certainly getting a taste of the success that the 55-year-old Hall of Fame star has basked in for decades after playing the villain in Black Panther.

Before joining the Marvel superhero universe, Jordan had appeared in numerous television shows such as The Wire, All My Children and House, before taking on the role of Johnny Storm in the 2015 remake of Fantastic Four – a film which was a critical and commercial flop.
That same year, the California-born actor managed to save his reputation by playing Rocky Balboa’s (Sylvester Stallone) protégé in the critically-acclaimed Creed. In order to play the highly-coveted role, Jordan had to seriously bulk up.
