Megan Fox Recalls The Humiliating Moment She Was Fired From The “Transformers” Cast

It seems like forever ago that Megan Fox was suddenly axed from appearing in the third Transformers movie in 2009.

She had appeared in the first two movies of the series, and the role very dramatically made her the focus of the media’s attention, and soon enough she was dubbed one of the sexiest women in the world.

However, by the time the third installment of this painful-to-watch franchise rolled around, she was surprisingly replaced by model-turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who became the franchise’s new leading lady.

What’s even more surprising is the revelation that Megan was fired not long after filming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, for reasons that were never fully explained to the public. What’s more, we’ve never known how Fox felt about being let go from the franchise.

Until now…

Her exit from the popular movie series came after the Tomb Raider actress did a very telling interview with Wonderland magazine as part of the movie’s press tour. In the eye-opening interview, she described the director Michael Bay as wanting “to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.”

Very recently Megan spoke to Cosmopolitan and very candidly delved into how it felt to be dropped from the cast in a very public manner.

“That was absolutely the low point of my career,” Megan reveals. “But without ‘that thing’, I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did. All I had to do was apologise – and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc.”
