After the whole Rachel Dolezal debacle, no discussion on race in the media can possibly surprise me anymore. In case you’ve already forgotten, Rachel Dolezal was the genetically white-caucasian woman who claimed to identify as a black person.

In fact, for over a decade almost everyone she knew thought that she was, in fact, an African American woman.

However, she’s certainly not the only genetically white woman who maintains that she is a black woman. In fact, German-born glamor model, Martina Big has blown Rachel out of the water in terms of her dedication towards transforming herself into her own image of a black woman.

German-born Martina Big, who once worked as a flight attendant, is now a self-proclaimed “black glamor model”.

During an appearance on The Maury Show, she expanded on her desire to be regarded as a black woman:

“I am black. That is my race. I can’t wait to go to Africa because I hear the food is tasty. It’s better to be black, the feeling inside is just better.

I am the proud owner of black skin. If it starts fading, I won’t feel less black. I will ask them for more.”

In case you are wondering how her skin came to be so dark, well, it wasn’t from a few too many sessions in the tanning bed. She achieved her dark brown color with a series of melanin injection treatments when she was in the US.
