Pretty much anyone who is part of the exclusive world of celebrity, glitz, and glamor is stunning beyond belief. So it goes without saying that being mistaken for a celebrity must be a total ego boost. Especially if those who mistake you for the celebrity are; a) being deadly serious, and b) remain totally convinced that you are said star, even upon closer inspection.

Someone who knows what it’s like to be the doppelgänger of a hugely talented and undeniably beautiful star is Brittany Williams from Detroit, Michigan.

She bears an uncanny resemblance to Beyoncé, so if you thought the reigning queen of R&B was ‘Irreplaceable’, sadly you were mistaken.

According to the woman herself, she is constantly stopped on the street by fans who are convinced that she is the ‘Drunk In Love’ singer.

And when she isn’t being approached, Brittany, who works as a production planner, still has to contend with constantly having her photos taken by passersby on the street.

“I get approached all the time; whether it be on planes, at the airport or while attending events,” she said. “I’ve also been chased, had pictures taken of me without my consent and pranks done without me knowing.”

The attention Brittany has received has even ventured into invasive and sinister territories as she has confessed to having been chased down the street in a car by a group of obsessed female fans who were determined to snap a selfie with their Queen Bey.

“A group of women once chased me and my friend to our car and began singing “Single Ladies”, beating my friend’s car with the heels of their shoes until we rolled down the window and took a picture with them,” Brittany recalled.

“Most people are generally friendly though and just want a picture, they often say I look like a younger version of Beyoncé,” she added.

And if you think Brittany’s striking resemblance to the 20-time Grammy award-winning megastar is a deliberate attempt for Brittany to get attention, think again.

According to Brittany, she has never attempted to resemble the A-list star and the likeness between the two of them is purely coincidental.

And apparently, this isn’t a recent phenomenon. It turns out that it’s been going on since Beyoncé’s days in Destiny’s Child which spanned from 1997 to 2006.
