09 Mar Married Couple Discover They Already Crossed Paths 11 Years Before They Even Met

It’s often said that you cross paths with your soulmate at least once before you properly meet. While this romantic notion is easy to dismiss for cynics like myself, it turns out that there’s actually some truth to it for a few lucky couples.

One of these couples is 35-year-old Mr. Ye and his wife Ms. Xue, who unknowingly took a picture together 11 years before they met.

The pair noticed the remarkable coincidence while looking at an old picture Ms. Xue had taken in Qingdao, Eastern China, in 2000.

At the time the picture was taken, Ms. Xue had been taking a vacation in the city with her mother and Mr. Ye had also been on vacation there with a group, but they had no idea that their paths had crossed until they took a closer look at the picture years later.

The discovery was made on March 4 while Mr. Ye was cleaning the study in his mother-in-law’s house, the couple told Chengdu Business Daily.

“I was looking at the picture where my wife was sitting in front of the May Four Square, there’s also a man standing at far back. My reaction was: ‘Oh wait, that was me!’” Mr. Ye revealed.
