Mariah Carey’s Former Security Guard Is Reportedly Suing Her For Sexual Harassment

In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, countless people have come forward to reveal that they have been sexually harassed by some of Hollywood’s biggest names. However, until today, all of those accused of misconduct have been men.

Now it has emerged that Mariah Carey’s former security guard, Michael Anello, is suing the star for a string of offences which include sexual harassment, humiliation, and an outstanding bill of $221,329.51. Carey has yet to publicly comment on the allegations.

TMZ has reported that they have been given access to a draft of a lawsuit prepared by Anello’s attorney. It details the above allegations, however, it is on hold whilst he negotiates with Carey’s lawyer, presumably so that a settlement can be reached out of court.

According to Anello, the singer called him “a Nazi, a skinhead, a KKK member and a white supremacist.”

The lawsuit states that Anello’s security firm were employed by Carey from June 2015 to May 2017 and that there was an agreement in place for another two years, although this has undoubtedly been cancelled because of these allegations.

Anello has also accused the 47-year-old ‘Hero’ singer of racism, claiming that she “wanted to be surrounded with black guys, not white people” in her security team, which if true, could have contributed towards Carey’s reported treatment of him.
