Then, there are hours upon hours of applications to painstakingly fill out. It’s commonplace for dozens of employers to ignore your résumé, but it’s all worth it when you’re finally invited to an interview!
Job interviews are nerve-racking. At this point, you’re in with a real shot of landing a job, but you need to impress at the interview, as well as on paper. That means dressing sharply, rehearsing potential interview questions, and, of course, arriving on time. That often means travelling to an unfamiliar place that can be some distance from your home. I was thrust into a state of panic attending my last job interview because I simply couldn’t find the office.
How Far Have You Travelled To A Job Interview?
The longest journey I’ve ever taken to a job interview involved an eight-hour bus journey and a two-hour train ride. It was horrible, and, to make matters even worse, the company decided to hire someone who already lived nearby over me. But at least I had the comfort of being able to sit down.
