06 Nov Man Highlights America’s Hypocrisy With Gun Crime With Powerful Tweet

As of last night, two of the five most fatal mass shootings in the history of the United States occurred within the last 35 days.

One of these horrific massacres was of course the Las Vegas shooting which took place last month, and the latest carnage took place yesterday.

On Sunday evening, a Texas gunman killed 26 people and injured 20 others in a baptist church. The man opened fire at the congregation in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs and killed his victims indiscriminately. The youngest of the 26 victims was aged five, and the oldest was 72.

A 26-year-old man named Devin Patrick Kelley has now been identified as the gunman. Although it is still unclear as to what Kelley’s motive for the shooting was, investigators are woking towards finding one.

What we do now about the shooter was that he was found dead from a gunshot wound some miles away from the scene of the crime.

Kelley was also identified as a former member of the US Air Force where he served at a Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2010.

In 2012, he was court-maritaled for two counts of Article 128 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice when he physically assaulted both his wife and their child. As punishment, he received 12 months of confinement, a reduction in rank and a bad conduct discharge.

Soon after news of the tragedy broke out, it was confirmed as the most catastrophic mass shooting in the south central state.

The incident occurred just a month after the biggest mass shooting in US history in Vegas in which 64-year-old Stephen Paddock took the lives of 59 and injured hundreds.
