20 Feb Man Breaks Up With Random People Via Text And The Responses Are Beyond Awesome

Breaking up with someone is never easy. How do you do it without hurting their feelings? What do you do if they cry? What if they get angry? These are all questions that run through the mind of every person about to initiate a break-up.

Faced with the possibility that it could get messy, many of us would love to be able to text our partner to call it off. Let’s face it, no millennial likes to accept responsibility for their actions, but thankfully few people take the coward’s way out.

However, some people really do take dumping via text very seriously. So when one Twitter user pulled a practical joke by texting a bunch of random numbers and dumping them, not everyone saw the funny side.

“Broke up with a bunch of random numbers this morning,” wrote Primavera alongside a picture of his message inbox which featured dozens of short outbound texts. “This isn’t working out,” he texted. “I’m breaking up with you.”

Primavera’s plan was to break up with dozens of random people in an attempt to try and “boost” his confidence. However, he neglected to mention how breaking up with a stranger could boost your confidence.

His quest may have been undeniably bizarre, but it cannot be denied that the results are hilarious!

“Yo if you’re tryin’ to break up you should at least get their phone number right. pro tip (sic),” one of his victims sarcastically responded.

However, the other replies were not as matter-of-fact…

This person was clearly oblivious to the fact that the break-up text wasn’t coming from their real partner. “Srsly? You breaking up with me via text? Loser,” they wrote. However, as the exchange between the pair continues, the anonymous person changes their mind and begs for their lover to “hurry”.

It’s at times like these that the GIF keyboard becomes highly useful. After all, would you be able to find the words to reply?

This person clearly has morals. “Kind of a shitty way to break up with someone,” they bluntly type.

Rather than simply waiting for their replies to roll in and leave it there, Primavera took time to reply to each of the original messages to further extend the chaos.

This person managed to see the funny side in the exchange. “LOL,” they type as they alert Primavera to the fact that he has the wrong number. “Don’t do yo girl like that, put her cats back in,” they write, alongside a laughing emoji.

Primavera may have unintentionally discovered one of the best ways to ask people out. Take notes, everybody!

Primavera decided to up the ante by incorporating Stranger Things into his break-up mission. “I can’t believe you don’t like Stranger Things. I think we’re too different,” his message reads.

A bemused person then responds, before being served with a homemade, Stranger Things inspired “I’m breaking up with you” message.

Requesting a divorce via text is a new low. Although this person didn’t seem too perturbed by the mistaken message that they received requesting one.

You should think it was quite clear if you received a message meant for somebody else, especially when they mention specifics. But this person seems confused as to whether the message was intended for her or not.

This guy rose to the occasion. Taking the bait, he begins to intently message Primavera without realizing that it’s an elaborate hoax. However, as the game continues he becomes suspicious.

“Tell me the name of at least one notable child in our lives to verify,” he types, to which Primavera responds, “Eleven from Stranger Things.”

The world was mystified when Blake Shelton was named as the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People magazine. So naturally, Primavera used him as material for his joke, which was not greatly appreciated by the recipient.

Chicken nuggets are possibly the single greatest thing to exist on this planet. That being said, a six-piece box is not a sufficient birthday present.

For one final joke, Primavera sent a selfie of himself to one unwitting recipient who at least saw the funny side in their strange exchange.
