There is a valid argument that Prince Harry is a true child at heart. The cheeky royal, who celebrated his 33rd birthday earlier this month is often hitting the headlines for some rather juvenile behaviour. Whether it be stripping naked in Vegas, or challenging Usain Bolt, the worlds fastest man, to a race.

So, when the fifth-in-line to the throne found a small hand in his popcorn box whilst enjoying the Invictus Games in Canada, he knew exactly how to handle it…

The prince is currently in Canada for the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style sporting competition which he established in 2014 for injured armed forces personnel and veterans. So far, the games have been a huge success, which can be heavily attributed to Prince Harry’s staunch support of his fellow comrades.

Last night, the Prince indulged in some popcorn whilst watching the UK play Denmark in the Sitting Volleyball Championships. Harry was seated with David Henson, a former royal engineer who lost both his legs in Afghanistan in 2011, who brought his daughter, Emily, along for the event.

Henson, who coached the UK Invictus Games team in 2014 and won bronze in the 200m at the 2016 Paralympics, has become close friends with the prince. But, last night it was clear that his daughter, Emily, is now the prince’s best friend…

Whilst the prince was absorbed in conversation with another patron at the event, Emily made her move. Clearly confident, and clever, the tiny tot plunged her hand into the popcorn with expert precision – she had clearly done this before – without raising any suspicion from her victim.

As Harry continued to chomp on his sweet snack, Emily became more brazen with her thievery, prompting the prince to notice that his supply of snacks was diminishing.

However, rather than punish the small child or swipe the snacks away, Prince Harry – who earlier this year said, “I’d love to have kids” – did something so adorable that even the coldest of hearts will melt…
